JOB DESCRIPTION WELFARE & TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT
The main task for welfare & technical department of Friends of IRC (FIRC) is to seeks and improve the economic and social well-being of and provide welfare services to the people especially at the IRC, while working towards creating a harmonious and stable community in UTP. We also will ensure that the implementation and operation of social welfare and library services are in accordance to the guidelines of The University Technology Petronas.

MISSION
To create a harmonious and stable community for the promotion of one of the top university in Malaysia by ensuring the adequate provision of welfare and library services.
To provide the best service as a logistic department for FIRC.
Scope
To promote and improve the economic and social well-being of the people; and to provide welfare services to all UTP students and all IRC users as well as the FIRC committees who are in need of such services.

OBJECTIVES
We have our own objectives to achieve in our job and responsibilities given towards FIRC. Below are our department targets that we are going to reach.
To develop and improve the social-economic standard of every users of IRC.
To ensure equal opportunity is given to all students as well as UTP staffs by providing the best services and other facilities as required.
To ensure welfare services are given to people in need.
To improve the quality of welfare services by giving assistance and support to all students.
We also will ensure that the implementation and operation of social welfare and library services are in accordance to the guidelines of The University Technology Petronas.
To handle any technical jobs towards the FIRC with ease and full of commitments.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Library Services
To ensure provision of quality IRC services.
Plan and implement activities to reduce ‘illiteracy’.
To issue directives and guidelines to the state library services in order for it to achieve its goals.
To get any feedback from students regarding problems especially at IRC and try to solve those problems with managements’ staff.
To take care the welfare for FIRC committees.
Technical Services
To handle any technical jobs towards the FIRC with ease and full of commitments.
Act as a backup team for promotion and publication department.

OTHERS
Proposed additional book trolley placed at every level to make let students place the books after they revise them.
Placed first aid kits at every level.
To keep maintaining the system as well as computers at IRC.
Proposed a magazines or any type of media to convey the latest info about UTP/IRC.
Proposed hotline numbers for UTP students who have any problems regarding at IRC.
Proposed to get the right to voice up something regarding the problem at IRC.
